Hey loves! Hope all is well and everyone had a great weekend. For me, the weekend was pretty full. I’m glad because I don’t feel like I’ve been doing much lately, and going out more at least gives me an excuse to get dressed lol. I ended up going to the movies twice to see the Amazing Spider Man 2, with my son and nephew, and to see The Other Woman with girlfriends. Both movies I lovvveedddd! I also started back with my photography and shot a prom party, which was super fun. Oh and I went to a concert! So yes, the weekend was nice and FULL lol.
By the time Sunday rolled around I wanted to be and look as care free as possible. I kinda went for a “new school hippie” kind of look. I wore this beautiful knitted top, that I got last summer, that I absolutely love! I love the intricate design work and how breathable it is. I paired it with a super comfy royal blue maxi skirt and flats. Both top and skirt are from @fashionavenueplus, one of my favorite shops in the So. Cal area. I finished off the look with a big blow out with a deep side part and fairly simple makeup and accessories. This look was definitely different for me, but I loved it. It’s something about walking around with an afro and a crop top as a plus size woman…and holding your own…that’s an instant confidence booster. Not to mention, liberating ;)
Much love,
