Oh-em-ghee! It has been literally forever and a day since I actually blogged! I truly miss you so much! With there being so many social media outlets around, my blog just simply fell behind. I don't know what happened, but my most recent trip to Jamaica just reminded me of my first love and got my blogging juices going!

When I tell you that this trip was absolutely amazing, I am not exaggerating! The people were so nice and friendly, the food was delicious, the night life was everything, and the beaches were breathtaking! I honestly think this has been my favorite trip to date :)

This was my very first trip with my BFF and it was long overdue! On this day, we took a drive up to Negril 7 Mile beach to relax on the beautiful white sand beach, eat amazing jerk chicken and finish it off with some rum punch :)
Activities
And what is a trip without some fun excursions?! When I first started traveling, I would just book a trip without any particular plan or activities in mind. But the more I travel, I'm realizing that excursions really do make the trip! We booked ours through Viator but we later found out that we could have booked them through the hotel as well. On this day we went ATV riding through Chukka Caribbean. The company was so nice and caring and really went out their way to make sure that we had a great time. Even though it takes some getting used to, ATV riding is a must do! I felt so adventurous out in the wild, rough riding and exploring nature!
The next activity that we did was the Cool Runnings Catamaran Cruise. This was the most fun and liberating experience! First you start off with an authentic Jamaican jerk chicken lunch then a hike up Dunn's River Falls. Which is not an easy hike but it is definitely the most refreshing because you get wet from head-to-toe the entire hike. I made the mistake of not getting a waterproof case for my phone, so I was unable to take pictures. So make sure that you purchase one! I saw a lot of people with these :)
Next, we went deep sea snorkeling...which was a little terrifying for me as a non-swimmer but our tour guide stayed with us the entire time (at my request lol) and was more than helpful with everything! He even gave me a mini swimming lesson :) I really really enjoyed myself and am so glad that I pushed my limits. Definitely, going down as one of my favorite memories! After snorkeling we had delicious beef patties, music and rum punch. They even did a boat group dance! It was so much fun!
Hotel
Searching for an hotel was probably the hardest thing about our trip. We knew we wanted something that was all-inclusive with a luxury feel that still fit within our budget. We opted for The RIU Reggae Hotel and we are so glad that we made that choice! The hotel was so clean, modern and the service was exceptional. The room came with a fully stocked bar, mini fridge and buffet's that served delicious food around the clock. The bar's had the most delicious rum punch and quickly became a favorite :)
The hotel beach front was probably my most favorite though. It was just a short walk for us to experience paradise. The beautiful palm trees, soft white sand and crystal clear water was so perfect for us to relax, unwind..oh..and get our model on :)
